Anima Mundi Tarot is an atmospheric natural deck by artist Megan Wyreweden, created under the creative name The Creeping Moon. It combines the traditional tarot system with an amazing variety of wildlife: animals, birds, insects, plants and natural landscapes.

The name Anima Mundi translates from Latin as "Soul of Peace." This is a philosophical idea of the unity of all living things, according to which numerous forms of life are interconnected by a single spiritual essence. It was this idea that became the basis of the artistic concept of the deck.

Megan Waireveden is a Seattle-based artist and illustrator known as The Creeping Moon. Her work is inspired by nature, biology, folklore, the history of mankind and the planet. To create Anima Mundi Tarot, she hand painted images of each card with acrylic paints, giving the deck a special picturesque and real work of art feel.

The deck is based on the Ryder-Waite-Smith tradition, but human images in many Arcans have been replaced by representatives of the animal and plant world. Thanks to this, familiar archetypes are revealed through the natural qualities of nature - strength, instinct, caution, freedom, growth, survival, harmony and interconnection.

Each suit has its own natural atmosphere. Pentacles are associated with the earth and forests, Swords are associated with birds and airspace, Wands are revealed through images of desert animals and the fire element, and Cups are associated with water and sea creatures. This separation helps to intuitively feel the element and character of each card.

The visual style of Anima Mundi Tarot is inspired by medieval iconography and Renaissance art. At the same time, the images remain modern and alive, creating an unusual combination of ancient symbolism and natural realism.

The deck is especially well suited for layouts on a personal path, relationships, internal changes, emotional state and the search for harmony. It is also interesting for meditative practice and intuitive reading, when attention is directed not only to the traditional meaning of Arkan, but also to the nature of the depicted animal or natural phenomenon.
