Deviant Moon Tarot is one of the most unusual and recognizable modern decks created by American artist Patrick Valenza. Her surreal characters with moon faces, gloomy landscapes and bizarre architectural images create an atmosphere of strange sleep, where reality mixes with the subconscious.

The history of the deck began in the youth of the artist. Patrick Walesa began working on his own tarot images as a teenager, and later combined early drawings with new illustrations. The final version of Deviant Moon Tarot was published in 2008 and was the result of many years of work by the author.

The characteristic style of the deck was formed under the influence of children's dreams, fantasies and night visions of Patrick Walesa. To create the illustrations, the artist used his own drawings, digital processing and photographs of old tombstones, abandoned buildings and a psychiatric hospital.
