This deck is based on the knowledge, wisdom and tradition of the famous Tarot researchers and practitioners - Paul Foster Case and Arthur Edward Waite. In 1979, Lloyd and Bill Morgan-Greer were inspired by Paul Foster Case's book when choosing the colors for the deck in order to "evoke an emotional response to each card before the user delved into the depth of the image." The result was an updated deck in the tradition of Arthur Waite, but with the addition of symbolism by Paul Foster Case and colors by Lloyd and Bill Morgan-Greer Paul Foster Case (1884-1954) is one of the most significant figures in Western esotericism in the twentieth century. Continuing and developing the teachings of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Case created a revised version of the Arthur Waite Tarot deck, and later founded the occult order Builders of the Holy of Holies (B.O.T.A.)
